• Home Safety Tip: Install and regularly test smoke and carbon monoxide detectors throughout your home.

  • Make sure detectors are placed on every level of your home, especially near bedrooms, and replace batteries at least once a year. These devices provide early warnings that can save lives in case of fire or carbon monoxide leaks.

• Auto Insight: State Farm has launched a Distracted Driving awareness campaign. According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, 29% of all motor vehicle crashes are caused by distracted drivers – resulting in over 10,000 fatalities, 1.3 million injuries, and 5.6 million damaged vehicles annually. The economic impact is estimated at nearly $100 billion each year. What can you do:

  • Put phones in "Do Not Disturb" mode while driving

  • Set up navigation and music before starting the vehicle

  • Pull over safely if urgent communication is necessary
